Using the Search Engine
We have hundreds of thousands of messages and believe it or not, there are some pearls of wisdom in there. The question is can you find them?
The board has a powerful search engine, there are two main ways to search.
Quick Search
The quick search box appears above the Topic and Thread lists. Simply type a phrase or keyword and a list will pop up of matching threads. However this only matches thread titles, so is more limited than the main search engine.
Main Search
The main search engine will also give you quick results based on a title but can also search the content of the posts to give you more accurate results.
You can use standard operators like + - * "phrase" etc. too, like this:
Use the drop-down in the search box to decide how much of the board to search.
Click "Advanced Search" for more search options including searching by specific member or tag.
