i have 3 big questions about electrical system function after collision.
1. what caused the breakers tripping so forward boiler rooms were engulfed in darkness? how they solved this problem? did power go out in few/couple cabins aswel at time of the boiler rooms losing lights?.
2. did...
When Titanic was lost, did she lose her RMS designation? I know ships could lose and regain this designation for various reasons, and I would assume loss of mail would be one. This was something I always wondered about but was scared to ask. LOL
Greetings, Lifeboat 2 question- Encyclopedia Titanic shows 18 survivors but another website titled Titanic.Fandom list 24 survivors on Lifeboat 2 including the following family who were immigrating from Syria/Lebanon. Is Encyclopedia Titanic missing them or is Fandom incorrectly adding them? Any...
Hi,
I was just curious as to what the feature on the forward straboard superstructure was used for? It’s just beneath the bridge wings. It appears like a wooden board of some sort. I thought it was something to do with the coal bunker rigging but could be wrong ?
I've seen a thread which shows the style of beds and panelling in the A, B and C Deck cabins, however I haven't seen any info on the D and E Deck cabins ( For E-Deck so far I've only seen Molly Brown's cabin which has a brass bed )
So, which bed style was on the D and E Deck cabins?

Hello there, this is my first post. but anyways.
After the Britannic sank and showed the advantages of Gantry davits, why didn't other ships employ them? they were clearly effective, the only other ships I remember having such was the Windsor Castle (and her sister ship) , and it only had two...

I had a quick question regarding a photo in "On a Sea of Glass"
On page 24, beneath this photo:
reads a caption, in part:
The ship's name was written in after the photograph was taken, and inaccurately at that."
Why is it inaccurate?
