    Question Did the steering wheel have to be turned to the left for the ordered Hard starboard?

    I know the commands are from the sailing age, but I don't know if the steering wheel was turned in the direction of the turn or against it?

    What if the Britannic was struck on the other side?

    What if the Britannic struck the mine on the port side instead of the starboard side? Would that have an effect on the sinking besides for a list on the opposite side?
