hi there, im looking into my family tree, my grandmothers maiden name was thayer, she had a brother called jack and i know in some way they were related to the thayers that were onboard titanic, could someone give me some pointers as to where i can find the thayer family tree?

Does anyone know why only Jack Thayer accompanied his parents to Europe and subsequently traveled home with them on the Titanic? They had three other children, but I can not locate any information about them other than their birth and death dates.
