They were my first posting on the ET board back in Sept.-the night my Dad died- and a remarkable insight into the Captain and Mrs. Smith as real people. Your post has to be one of the most amazing I have ever seen. The humility of the man shines through in his letters, you would never tell he was the commodore of one of the worlds greatest shipping lines.
