Here is another one from ET contributor Henry Aldridge and Son's Auction, dated: 18th February 1906. I imagine that must be worth a pretty penny (or two)!

Maybe this was Smith's "formal" signature vs. "informal" (abbreviated) for postcards and family correspondence?
