Bertha Watt

Just been reading the ET bigraphy of 2nd class passenger Bertha Watt. There is included an account of her story about the time spent in the lifeboat, written in 1917 and makes mention of a minister who appeared from under a seat, complaining bitterly about "losing his sermons". Did this bloke exist? If so, who was he and what was he doing under a seat?

Boz, Sidney Collett? That's the story I always heard. I suppose he was just looking into the boat, slipped, became stuck under a seat and couldn't get out until the boat was safely away. Don't you just hate it when that happens!

Yes, that was indeed second class passenger Sidney C. Stuart Collett. There's a thread going on now about him now, and I must say he made some rather strange claims about what was going on in the ocean after the ship went down. There was also a few previously unseen images of him posted to this message board a few months back.
