Jack Prideaux was not the only son of Mrs Annie Prideaux as she had a son George by her previous marriage to Mr Slade. George Slade was head waiter at the South Western Hotel in Southampton. This information comes from George Slade's daughter aged 98 on 1st May 2007, who saw the Titanic leave from a view point in Ryde IOW.
The night before the sailing Jack Prideaux spent the night at 84 Argyll Road, Southampton.
