3rd class open space below the forecastle on C Deck?

Hi All,

Is this a mistake on the profile of the deckplan on the main-site? It states there is a 3rd class open space below the forecastle on C deck.

If I'm not mistaken that's where the crew messhall is and the area where the machinery is for the anchors. There is of course the 3rd class open space below the poop deck in the aft of the ship and on D deck under the foward well-deck.

Or am I mistaken?

Yes, that was a mistake. As you said in your post, that room was where the machinery for the anchors were located. Even the deckplans by Harland and Wolff show that it was a Crew-Only area.

I do not see any reason why there would be a room for 3rd Class where the only ways in and out would be through Crew-Only areas, considering the strict class separation rules.

Looks like the label is in slightly the wrong place, I expect it can be corrected.
