he appears to be related to me on my Mother's side - his address would have been Nile St not Mile St and some of my relations lived there. my mMther - Caroline Shepherd Welton nee King often talked of an Alfie King who died on the Titanic. my Mother is 81.

Alfred's father was born in Hundon, Suffolk not Hendon. Alfred was my grandfather's cousin.

My grandmother was part of the King family and was a first cousin to Alfred. She also grew up on NIle Street, Gateshead. Her name was Maud king. She was born in 1912, a few months after the disaster, unfortunately they never met.
