J. Forman

. Josef Forman was a Czechoslovakian political activist, born in 1886. He was briefly interned on the Isle of Man in 1917 as an "enemy alien". After his divorce in 1924, he moved to the USA where he worked for the Czechoslovakian Embassy. He died in New York in 1956.Josef and Violet Forman (as she was known) had a very talented son called Jan Rudolf Hamilton Forman, born in January 1913. Jan Forman worked for Baird Television in the 1930s, then for Pye of Cambridge, then in the 1950s he moved to the USA. For a while Jan worked for Sir Robert Watson-Watt's company (Adalia). He took out 33 patents in electronics and was a senior member of the IEEE. He died in 1987 in Scottsdale, AZ
