Hi there-Just reading this is amazing. My Great Aunt was Mary Canavan. My Mom Mary Duffy nee Canavan was named for her - her Father was William Canavan and a good portion of the family still reside in Tonacrick , Lahardane , Co Mayo...they celebrated the 100th yr anniversary in 2012 and was proud to attend. It's amazing too how they were given a 'pittance' to just disappear and the company was able to survive.(Whitestar lines).
