Karl Jonsson

As I have mentioned elsewhere, there appears to be a good deal of confusion between fellow Third Class passengers and Swedes Carl Jansson and Karl Jonsson. On p88 of Susan Wels' book Titanic: Legacy of the World's Greatest Liner and other works there is a quote from one of them (mentioned as "Carl Jonsson") about water lapping around the ankles in his cabin as he got dressed but this could apply to either man. Certainly, the picture on that page is that of Carl Jansson who survived on board Collapsible A. As his bio says, there is uncertainty about Karl Jonsson's lifeboat.
