Beavan boarded the Titanic at Southampton as a third class passenger and was on his way to Russell, Illinois to stay with a Mr and Mrs Gould, originally of Gillingham, Kent.

Just to let you know this information is incorrect. William Thomas Beavan, was my mothers older brother born 17th february 1892. His last residence was not lincolnshire but gillingham kent. My mother put his luggage on a barrow and their father saw him off at southampton. He was not a labourer, he worked for a gentlemans outfitters. He was going to the U.S to deliver business papers to his Employers business partner and was to remain in the states and work there. I have a photograph of him if you require it. My grandmother received a small pension from the shipping company after his death. please contact me with any further queries.
