Amelia Earhart on SS Nomadic / Olympic

Can anyone verify if the ship at the beginning of this footage is the SS Nomadic and if that is her whistle sounding? Also did Amelia Earhart board the Nomadic or did she transfer to that private steamship instead? Cheers.

Yes, it's definitely Nomadic at the beginning of the footage.
Amelia arrived in Cherbourg on the 2d June 1932. The aircraft manufacturer Faray put the yacht Evadne to her disposal for the Southampton-Cherbourg crossing.
Amelia's husband, George Palmer, arrived from New-York on RMS Olympic on the 3d June and both reunited on Nomadic before 'landing' on the french soil
