I believe the ice-making machine is mentioned in Walter Lord's ANTR. I'm almost certain there was one on the ship, as for it being located on F Deck, that I don't know. Perhaps someone more "technical" can give you more information.

There was a refrigeration plant onboard the Titanic. It was located on the aft part on the Port site of the Tanktop - Deck and Orlop - Deck.The refrigeration machine was designed and manufactured by Halls Thermotank Ltd. and was of the standard marine type.
