Are There Any Current Expeditions In Progress

Greetings One And All,
My name is Dave, I'm new to ET. My question centers around any current expeditions to Titanic...I remember seeing on the news, a week or so ago, that a sample case full of perfume scents had been found. Is this from a current expedition or from a past one? If it is current, are they just doing artifact recovery or more research on the degradation of Titanic? I also heard, in the same news story, that they want to create actual perfumes from these samples and sell them. Any light that can be shed on this topic would be much welcomed. Thank you.

G'day David,
As I write this there would be two MIR submersibles in the early stages of their 2 1/2 hour descent to the wreck. Today would be the 3rd or 4th day of diving.
The expedition that is out there now is a tourist expedition (looking but not touching), and it is the only dive trip to the wreck this year.
Middle of last year there was one salvage expedition and one tourist trip. The perfume case must have been from last years salvage thing.
As far as I can recall RMS T didn't say much about their last salvage dives.

The perfume samples were found by RMS Titanic's expedition last summer.

They give some info on the vials - I don't remember how much. There's plenty of photos and info generally on all the items salvaged over the years
