After the sinking accompanied by Frank Collins down to visit the stokers of Carpathia men volunteered to take Frank to become a honorary sailor for having him drink a mixture of vinegar, water and a raw egg. Frank proudly swallowed at once and from then on, it was considered a part of the ship.
