Journey to the ocean's floor

Just this morning I caught a news segment, in which Phillip Cousteau was interviewed, it seems that James Cameron is set to dive the Mariana's Trench (36,000') to conduct research, chemical, etc. tests. It is said that Cameron will spend *six hrs.* in the general area. Cousteau went on to say..."The pressure is equivalent to 8,000 elephants standing on a car". To my knowledge the p.s.i. is 10,000 lbs., wheras Titanic's wrecksite is 6,500 p.s.i. I am anticipating the video and stills of Cameron's work!
