Lusitania's Propellers

This is one of my rare visits to this section of the main forum. Out of purely amateur curiosity, could anyone briefly note the specifics of Lusitania's propellers -- I understand that they were changed several times between 1907 and 1914. Any help offered would be appreciated (AHOWBMA). Thanks.

Best regards,

Mark.

Hi Mark ,
I got some information from the GUAS ( Glasgow University Archives Services ).
That information comes from the shipbuilder data book UCS1/93/17 :
Inner propellers : diameter : 16'-6" / pitch : 15'-9"
Outer propellers : diameter : 15'-0" / pitch : 16'-6"

But another notebook (UCS1/92/15) gives conflicting data :

diameter of the props : 16'-6"
pitch inner props : 14'-6"
pitch outer props : 15'-9"

My thoughts are that the second data's are the good ones , as I read from different sources that the pitch of the outer props has been increased after a few crossings...

Regards
Laurent

Hi sahand ,
Yes , she did .
She had two high pressure turbines on the two outer shafts & two low pressure turbines on the two inner shafts .
Two astern turbines were put on the same shafts as the low pressure turbines
