Mast lights on the Californian

It didn't occur to me until I started looking at old photos of the Californian that I realised I didn't know which masts had lights on them. I had always assumed that masts 1 and 4 had the lights on. but a friend suggests 1 and 2 (looking from the bow to the stern). Who is right?

I'm guessing that the mast lights were on the two most foreward masts. But, did anyone other than Boxhall (with binoculars) see both of the lights? As far as I can recall, the other Titanic witnesses only reported seeing one light?
