Model used at British Inquiry

After the sinking, Lord Mersey and the Wreck Commission were able to see a twenty foot long cutaway model of the Titanic (see Matsen, Epilogue, p. 268). Does anyone know what happened to the model?

I thought the model was a builder's model that was loaned to them? It has been a while since I read the Mersey transcripts however.
