Oral Family History has my Grand Father John Williams sent by the White Star Company from Liverpool to Belfast to assist with the electrical outfitting of the Titanic. He was supposedly offered a post on the maiden voyage, but a scarlet fever outbreak in Liverpool had infected his children, and his wife needed him at home. After the sinking, his grief at the loss of his workmates, lasted the rest of his life.
