A recent posting from on-board by a world-cruise blogger is that QE2 was up to a speed of 31.6 knots.

Unbelievably, according to QE2's current captain, these engines will be gutted in Dubai.

Unlikely that any passenger ship will ever reach this speed again.

That speed is indeed incredible! I would have thought they'd keep at least some of the engine works in place for museum display?
