Stern Portholes

Hello,

Can you identify what room(s) are behind the stern portholes in the white area above Titanic’s name? Sorry, I don’t know which deck they’re on.

Thanks,
Stew

The portholes at the immediate stern are in the room where the ship's steering gear was. I gave the link to the C-deck plan from ET. Each circle along the ship's edge on the deck plan indicates a porthole.

The flagpole is right on the ship's centerline. The steering gear room is within the first 7 portholes on each side of the flagpole. The next 9 portholes on the port side is the 3rd class smoke room, on the starboard side is the 3rd class general room. Then you get to the aft well deck. You can count porthole symbols on the deck plan and count actual portholes on the photo and match one up to the other.

Hope this is helpful.
