The Glass Room that was once a part of the Big Piece

The D deck partition of the recovered "Big Piece" was once a wall of a room in the D deck 1st class galley, listed as a 'glass room'.

Do we know what kind of glass was stored in this room? Plates? carraffes? Drinking glasses?

Hi Tarn,

That room would have contained all of the drinking glasses, caraffes, vases and other bits and pieces of tableware.

The plates saucers and so forth were all stored in the pantry or in the china room which was close by.

I've actually heard that the piece is mostly a wall from cabin C-79 and C-81 and only a small portion of the Galley from D Deck. Here someone talks about it on Youtube
