Titanic Engine Room Dimensions

Hi everybody!

Could you tell me the exact dimensions (in metres) of Titanic's main engine room, and how many decks (from bottom to top deck) were occupied by engine departments?

It went the shelter deck. i Will look to see if i can find more dimensions of the engine room

Hi Tomislav,

The British Inquiry gives the length [fore-aft direction] of each water-tight compartment:
The Reciprocating-engine room 69 feet
The Turbine-engine room 57 feet
The Electric-engine rom 63 feet

I have a few questions more.Were engines, boilers, and other machinery mounted on the orlop deck or the tanktop deck, what was on the tanktop deck, and where were the acces doors to the engine room?
