Hello everyone!
Could anyone please help me to find out what the book is? - A Voyage Closed and Done by Pauline M. Matarasso (J. B. Ismay’s granddaughter).
I heard a lot about it, but unfortunately I'm deprived of the opportunity to order and read it myself.
Is it a memoir, an autobiography or a sort of a family record? Does it cover the subject of Olympic and Titanic in detail?
Every hint, comment or review would be much appreciated!

Best regards and thanks in advance!

Thanks William.
Sadly, I can order nothing from Amazon, in no way at all.

I found somewhat of a review of this book on amazon.ca, as the person hadn't finished reading it at the time. Apparently it contains extracts of letters from people who survived the Titanic disaster and the Great War. Unfortunately that's all I can find, as it appears no one has bothered to do a full review of it.

Thank you Jason!
It's already something. I haven't seen this review yet. Only some most general comments about this book saying that it's a good one (but without any further details).

Amazon US and Amazon Canada are very different sites so I will often check both. This is what I found on the .ca Amazon site. The only review for it.

"Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2012

Verified Purchase

A Voyage Closed and Done is one of the most beautifully written books I have had the privilege to read. I am still reading the book as I had left it at work and denied myself the joy of completing the journey. I particularly enjoy the extracts of letters of those who lived through such things as the sinking of the Titantic; World War I. I recommend the book."

Good review, thanks Del!

I also found out that the book is not large as such (a total of 160 pages) and is sometimes listed in the category of "Biography & Autobiography, Literary Criticism".

Jason - yep, that's what I understood. Thanks again!

It is also worth noting that the Author (Pauline Maud Matarasso) is a scholar, poet and translator specializing in medieval studies. Frances Wilson's book ("How to Survive the Titanic: or, The Sinking of J. Bruce Ismay") is apparently dedicated to her: "For Pauline".
