RAISE THE TITANIC: THE ITC ENTERTAINMENT COLLECTION is a gathering of original and rare ITC Entertainment production company photographs that were taken during the film production of the 1980 movie Raise the Titanic. Gathered and presented in full colour for the first time, including dozens of previously unseen views, fans of the movie can enjoy behind the scenes images of the actors, sets and the working of the films iconic 55ft Titanic model. And if you want to know how they pulled off the unthinkable and raised the unsinkable, all is revealed inside. The foreword is written by Narcy Calamatta, actor and former managing director of the Malta film studio at the time of the movies production during 1979 and 1980.

Great film. As Titanic is being raised you can see a little man working a pump. An Easter egg inserted by the FX crew at the time.

If you skip this video ahead you can see the man at 04:42. Kind of funny. I saw this motion picture a bunch of times. Richard Jordan died from a brain tumor back in 93. You can see my comments about Jordan and the pump under the video also.

It's not an Easter egg. It is supposed to be there... and there is more than one seen in those shots right after the ship has been raised. Long story short - scenes were filmed of the salvage crews setting up the pumps. To tie-in with this, the model was dressed with several crew, pumps and pump hoses. The fly-past shot that features the salvage crew on the pump is part of that sequence. The rest ended up on the cutting room floor.
