Titanic and the Californian

£13.97

Captain Stanley Lord and his vessel, the Californian, were accused of ignoring the Titanic’s distress calls.

This book offers an evidence which prompted the British Government to re-open the case surrounding Captain Lord and the Californian and proved that the captain and his ship could not have been the ship seen from the decks of the Titanic.

Description

From the Author

Were I to have any regrets whatsoever about this book it would have to be that the late Captain Lord did not live to see his good name exonerated after being castigated for so long. Similarly, his son, also called Stanley, who himself fought for so long to clear his Father’s name. During the years I conducted my research and investigation into this case I had the great pleasure of meeting with Stanley Lord Jnr (and indeed the late Miss Eva Hart, a survivor of the tragedy) and their vivid recollections of the avoidable tragedy only served to make me determined to reach the truth of this terrible injustice. I believe I succeeded.
