Branch opened in Liverpool
The British Seafarers' Union opened in Liverpool, yesterday, a branch office in South John-street. The union was established about eighteen months ago at Southampton, where it has registered offices. It has also a branch in Glasgow. The hon. president is Mr. T. Lewis, and the secretary Mr. Arthur Cannon. The Liverpool Branch will be in charge of Mr. T. Threlfall, who was a leading fireman on the Titanic, and from which he was rescued. The union is affiliated to the Southampton Trades and Labour Council.
