    Officer Cabin Linens/Furnishings

Curious if anyone has an idea as to how the officer cabins were furnished on Titanic or any WSL ship for that matter? Did the officers have separate linens, or did they use linens similar to the PAX cabins? I'm particularly interested in blankets. Thanks, Andrew Hochhaus

    Size of the Officer's Cabins

Is there any evidence relating to the size of the officer's cabins. I understand that Wilde and Murdoch would have a larger cabin than Moody, etc. but how big were they in general if anyone could tell me. Compared to the passengers and other crew cabins? Tell me in metres if you can, if not...

When did the water flood 3rd class cabins aft

Were the 3rd class cabins located aft on the starboard side some of the first sections of the ship to flood? What exact deck level was torn open by the iceberg, was it Orlop deck or G deck? And if yes, how long did it take the water to reach the cabins above?

    Guggenheim's cabin B82

So apparently, it was done in the Louis XV style. What would this cabin have looked like? Not like the Lounge, I'm assuming.

    Stateroom Flooring

I'm hoping someone such as Daniel Kilstorner can help me on this one. ;) In the 1st Class simple style staterooms, there appears to be, in some photographs, linoleum parquet flooring. The pattern is more of a herringbone appearance. Does anyone know when this was in place from? Was it in...

    Cdeck cabin windows

On page 130 of Titanic: Triumph and Tragedy there's a picture of a Louis Seize C-deck stateroom on the Olympic. I know that there were portholes on this deck, but in this stateroom it's disguised as a window. Was the window on a hinge or something? Could the porthole behind it be opened?

The amidship little B deck cabins

On the deck plans, you can see the rows of B-deck suites between the Forward and Aft staircases. The suites all have a smaller room adjacent. These rooms alternate between being a bathroom or a cabin. My question: Were these smaller rooms period suites, or were they of the plainer brand of...

Really cramped and claustrophobic Saloon Class cabins

I've been going over the Lusitania and Mauretania photographs in Mark Warren's books and it seems while the Saloon Class public rooms with large and spacious, the cabins were AWFUL! Even Second Cabin passengers had more room to move around in their staterooms. The ceilings seem so low and the...

    Jack and Fabrizio's cabin

At the beginning of the film, when Jack and Fabrizio are looking for their cabin, Jack says "G 60, oh right here". Being single men, of course I do not know about the Swedish guys Jack won the tickets from, but they probably were single, they would have stayed somewhere forward. There were no...

SS Normandie First Class cabin prices

Hello, I hoped someone might be able to help me with something I'm researching. I've been trying to find out what a passenger would have paid for a trans-Atlantic voyage in first class on the Normandie. It would be great to find out the price for her maiden voyage even. I'm trying to...

Which passengers most likely died in their cabins

Not in general (i.e. most third class passengers), more like specific names of passengers who died in their cabins. I understand it's difficult to say who definitely died in their cabin, but any info would help.

    Cabin number

Hello to all, again. I was wondering if there were any records as to which cabin Frankie Goldsmith and his mother might have been staying in. I know that he was Third Class, and that he and his mother would have likely been sequestered from Frankie's father, Thomas Rush, and their other...

    Second Class Cabins

I know there were quite a few second class cabins on the Titanic. However, I am interested mainly in the D-deck second class cabins. I have an image I found concerning such a cabin. However, I wanted to know if the cabins on D-deck looked similar to the photo I've included. Any...
