    Well you also have to assume that a certain percentage did go down with the ship. They remained inside and when the ship sank they went with her.

    Was the "Cowes" address refer to a hotel? If he was a cook would He had a"Brass Apron Clip". Yet he had a "white Steward Coat". Could he have been employed as a WAITER-did waiters have a cloth apron clip after carrying a cloth under the tray?

    I haven't yet seen it discussed but the most probably cause of death for those in the water is cold shock, rather than hypothermia. It kills very quickly, in minutes, an is often misdiagnosed as hypothermia, a far longer process.

    The more i study the list of those poor people who never made it and the way first second and third passengers bodies where treated i find it very sad.Did class really matter after all the third class never suffered any less than the first.Lets hope things have changed.May they ALL rest in peace.
