I understand that Harold Bride had two daughters (Lucy and Jeanette) as well as a son. In Charles Pellegrino's book "Her Name, Titanic," the son is identified as John, but I have elsewhere seen his name as Jack (the nickname for John) and John George Phillip.
My question is - was this son named after the Titanic's other wireless operator John George "Jack" Phillips? If his full name was indeed John George Phillip Bride, I can't imagine that he was NOT named after him. From his account in the New York Times, Bride appears to have admired Phillips a great deal. Can anyone clear this up?
