According to familysearch, Miss Annie Ward was born in Calderhead, Lanarkshire, Scotland on January 16th, 1874, to Hugh Ward and Ann Dennis. Her siblings were Catherine (b. September 1st, 1872) and James (b. August 16th, 1876) and her widowed mother (Annie Ward, née Dennis) remarried in Pennsylvania (1890) to John Henry Craig.
