In the latest edition of Her Name: Titanic, Charles Pellegrino makes the following claim about John Phillips and Harold Bride's jokes to each other during the night:

"For this edition, the jokes themselves have resurfaced, following the discovery of Harold Bride's descendants and a complete record of communications between the Titanic and the Olympic."
( Her Name, Titanic - Charles R. Pellegrino - Google Books The claim can be read in full at the bottom of page 259.)

What "complete record" is Pellegrino referring to?

What does he cite there, if anything? If he cannot produce any documentation that goes to prove that wireless traffic between Titanic and Olympic was not fully documented to date, I would just assume "family story, " which if not back up by at least circumsancial evidence I would tend to dismiss it. That's just me though.

Also, if you write history books cite!:)
