Maritime-mad Edwin Diment has built a 20ft replica of the iconic battlecruiser HMS Hood - out of LEGO
The 36-year-old dedicated the last ten months to building a scale model of the ship, which was sunk by German battleship Bismarck.
Mr Diment began the model in January and estimates the 100,000 bricks would cost around 7,000 pounds if bought new.

Hood an Bismarck by David Mearns and Rob White, published by 4Books for Channel4 [BBC] is one I would recommend to you. It tells the story of the search for these ships by David Mearns and his team.

Martin - Thank you for the link, that will be number two on my Amazon want list, perhaps by Memorial Day I shall order it...a proper fitting for the purchase. Number one is a new release promo. Stevie Nicks CD. I have simply adored her since '76...saw her twice in concert!
