Hi people!
One more stupid question from me, sorry!
Could anybody help me, please, to find out the exact number of the riveted steel layers in the Titanic's 'skin' on the level of C & D Decks?
On the photos and on the shell plating plans I see the rectangular extra plates added between the C and Saloon Decks... Does it mean that in this area there is a double-layer plating (to give greater strength to the base of the main superstructure)? Or even three layers in the total, may be??
