Modern logkeeping

Do officers on modern liners, ferries and yachts still keep old fashioned handwritten paper logs or is it all boring computer entries? Somehow the idea of not having a sturdy logbook ledger in an oceangoing vessel does not seem right.

British Warships still maintain two paper logs. One similar to the scrap log others have already mentioned which records navigational highlights and ships routine, and a daily occurrence log that records key daily events and is mainly only used while in harbour.
