Brief summary:
A monograph dealing with the break-up of the vessel in a complex multidisciplinary way. A full overview of the history of the issue since the two official inquiries and up to 2022. Critical analysis of the survivor accounts (dozens of them) and their later interpretations, of graphical and cinematic depictions, FEM models and computer animations of the break-up. Debunking of multiple myths and misconceptions, including some latest ones.
A new paradigm of the break-up is developed based on the correction of errors and omissions of previous models.
