Hi there, Richard otter is in my family tree, and still living in Dorset. Is there anyone still on this site? I see it was a few years ago

as my Gt, Gt Uncle my mum was Annie Otter from Portland,I was also born in Southwell ,Portland, but now live in Dorchester.

I am a grt/grt/grt niece of Richard Otter. I am grand daughter of Walter Ivan Cecil Otter.
I no longer live local anymore but went to the island as a child many times to see Arthur and Eric Otter. loved going to the island. Walter Ivan Cecil Otters ashes were scattered there.

Elizabeth White (Otter) was my grandfather, Dr. William H. Otter II, beloved grandmother. Elizabeth, her husband, and Grampa’s dad (who was a child at the time) were over visiting family in Portland, England with Uncle Richard (all had tickets for the first sailing of the titanic). Uncle Richard then got called back to work, and encouraged his family to stay in England and enjoy the rest of the holiday rather than go back early with him (originally all had tickets for second sailing of Titanic).
