Thomas Mudd

Thomas Cupper Mudd was my Grandfathers brother. I learned much about him from my grandfather over the decades. I would like to know the history of his last Letter home, of which I have a copy, and how it ultimately arrived in an auction?

Jeremy, my name is Ben. My aunt was the last family member in possession of the post card from Thomas before it was ultimately put up for auction during the Titanic craze of the late 90's. It was handed down to my aunt from the 'Coe' side of the family. The post card belonged to her husband prior to his passing many years ago.

I hope you get a notification that I have responded otherwise I might try looking you up on social media.

Ben

Hi all.
First post on here. I’m related to Elizabeth Coe, Thomas’s mother. She was my great great grandmother’s sister if I recall. There might be too many greats! This is on my mother’s father’s side of the family. My grandfather was originally from Lowestoft. I was actually raised in Southampton so the Titanic has always been a part of my life but had no idea we had any connection until a couple of years ago.

Hi there, I am related by marriage. My Uncle, “Jimmy” James Mudd who lived in Oreland PA was a nephew I believe. I also met Jimmys mother who was around 100 years old at the time. I was probably 10. She had a thick Irish accent. My father’s older sister Madalyn was Jimmy’s first wife.
