What was the frist ship to have a central vacuum on board

THe Nina, and the Santa Maria were both equipped with a central vac, though there was no electricity. Now, as to what ship had central vac in conjunction with electricity I would be at a loss on that one. Good question though.

Kosta, they mean vacuum cleaner systems.

Such things were around in 1912, both ashore and afloat. I have an advertisement for ship systems, though I can't exactly date it. On shore, there were people who carried vacuum cleaner machines on trucks, with long pipes that could be taken into houses and shops to clean them.

>>what are you two talking about?what vacuums?<<

Are you referring to a vacuum cleaner system in which there are outlets for connecting a hose rather than using individual electric vacuum cleaners ?

When I visited RMS Queen Mary in New York in 1965, I noticed they were using vintage 1930's Hoover-type (may have been a different brand) vacuum cleaners.
