He was one of the lucky ones
Marshall Drew, 73, of Westerly, R.I., a retired art teacher, is a survivor of the Titanic sinking in the North Atlantic in 1912. Drew, at that time, was eight years old. He was in a lifeboat picked up by the Carpathia the morning after the disaster, which claimed 1,517 lives.
