Yet another man was aboard the Titanic, who was bound for this city. He was Mr Oscar Panquist [sic], of Sweden, who was coming to his brother, Mr. M. Panquist [sic], of 52 Buena Vista Avenue, a carpenter.
Mr Panquist had more luck than the others who were bound for this city, as he was among the very few men who managed to get into one of the lifeboats, and he came back aboard the Carpathia. His brother, who was bereaved, because none of the published lists of the survivors, contained his brother's name, as among the survivors, was awaiting at the Cunard pier, hoping against hope, that through some miracle, his brother would step ashore safe and sound, and his prayers were answered, for his brother, came down the gangplank, completely exhausted by his appalling experience. The two brothers are in New Haven, Conn., Today, where the rescued man is likely to make his home.
