Among the passengers of the Titanic who are believed to have perished was Rev. John Harper of London, who was expected to preach Sunday from the pulpit of Moody Church, Chicago. Rev. Mr. Harper, who was pastor of the Walworth Road Baptist Church in London, had been engaged for an indefinite period to fill the Moody Church pulpit.

With him were his daughter, Miss Nina Harper, and his niece, Miss Jessie W. Leitch, both of whom are reported aboard the Carpathia. No news concerning Mr. Harper had been received last night by Rev. E. Y. Wooley, assistant pastor of Moody Church. The London divine had many friends in the local congregation whom he had met while conducting revival services in the city during November, December and January. He had returned abroad and was accepting a second inivitation from the Chicago church.
