Anna De Messemaeker

Mrs Guillaume Joseph De Messemaeker (Anna) from Belgium boarded the Titanic at Southampton as a third class passenger with her new husband Guillaume. She was travelling with him to his home nerar Tampico, Montana.

She was rescued in lifeboat 13.

Anna never recovered from the ordeal, and the anxiety of having thought she lost her husband. She entered a Rochester, Minnesota mental hospital and died there on 30th April, 1918.

She is buried at Highland Cemetery, Glasgow, Montana (Black 9999, Lot 482).
