Information has come to us at the Lancashire Titanic Museum that this person - James Mason (like the film actor) had moved his family to Blackburn Lancashire at the time of the sinking. The address given to WSL officials when he signed on as a Leading Fireman (3 Wycombe Cottages, French Street, Southampton) was in fact temporary lodgings and not his home address - further research is ongoing to locate the actual address in Blackburn.Nigel Hampson, LTM Curator.
