Darren, the address written in the book is Light's own postwar address in Twickenham, so if all the inscriptions were made at the same time Gloria was resident there sometime in the late 1940s. I'm guessing she might be the widow of one of his two sons lost in WW2, or the wife of son Trevor who worked in the family boatbuilding business at the same address and perhaps lived there also. Hope you get a better answer from someone who knows for sure!

According to the new owner of the book, it was signed by Lightoller's wife Sylvia. This may solve the mystery.

I don't know if the new owner would be considered fortunate or not after shelling out over a thousand dollars for this book. Seems you can always find what you are looking for on Ebay but you really have to pay extra to get it.
