One irony of the night is that Parisian passed pretty well over the scene of the wreck just a few hours ahead of Titanic. She was about 40 miles away at the time of the collision but her radio was turned off.
Just imagine. If Parisian had been delayed a bit by fog or somesuch, she would have been right on the spot and able to help.
